2016 Federal Election

The Association of Independent Schools of the ACT (AISACT) congratulates Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and the Coalition team on being re-elected following the 2016 Federal Election.

The Association and its Member Schools looks forward to working with the Coalition Government on developing a new funding model throughout 2017, to commence in 2018.

‘The new funding model must take into account the true cost of educating students as individuals, despite which sector or jurisdiction a student is in,’ said AISACT Executive Director, Andrew Wrigley.

AISACT will continue its work with local Members Gai Brodtmann (Canberra), Andrew Leigh (Fenner), along with Senators Gallagher and Seselja, in addition to the Government, to represent and advocate for the interests of all Independent Schools in the ACT.
