|Emeritus Professor Patrick Griffin is Director of the Assessment Research Centre, Melbourne Graduate School of Education, at the University of Melbourne. Patrick was a high school mathematics and chemistry teacher. His interests are in working with teachers and schools to ensure that assessment and teaching are productively aligned. He has published widely on assessment topics that include the development and calibration of instruments to measure collaborative problem solving and other 21st century skills as well as literacy, numeracy and problem solving proficiency, through online interactive assessment and calibration.|
Professor Griffin is also a fellow of the International Academy of Education. His work focuses on the application of item response modelling in interpretive frameworks for criterion referenced performance and the development of professional standards for classroom teachers and educational managers in Australia, Vietnam and China.
|Claire Madden is a social researcher, media commentator, keynote presenter, TEDx speaker, business consultant and founder and director of the strategy and communications agency, Hello Clarity.
She is a next-gen expert, fluent in the social media, youth culture, and engagement styles of these global generations, and a professional in interpreting what this means for educators, managers and marketers.
As a social commentator, she has been interviewed on these topics on prominent television programs The Today Show, Sunrise and The Morning Show, as well as on the radio and in print media. Claire is on the board for a financial services company and on the Advisory Board of UTS Business School.
