This event is a AISACT Member Schools only event
Date: Thursday 11 May 2017
Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm
AISACT has engaged the services of AIM to develop a program targeted at Member schools middle management group in response to an identified need by Member schools through a variety of channels including the annual Member survey.
The program has been developed in line with the recent report ‘Preparing future leaders’ released by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL). Within this report, AITSL highlights that ‘a repertoire of skills and the confidence and acumen to deploy those skills with impact’ is required for effective school leadership at all levels of the organisation.
Member Schools are encouraged to identify up to two potential nominees for participation in intake one of the program. A total of 20 places are provided in each of two rounds of the program. The first intake started in 2016 and the second intake will be for 2017 delivery.
Potential nominees and their nominating school representatives are invited to attend an information session on Thursday 11 May at 4:00 PM at the AISACT Offices in Deakin.
As per the information provided nominations require (in addition to the person participating in the program), a mentor and ‘1up supervisor’ to be identified. Both the mentor and the supervisor will support the participant through the program.
