The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of providing supports for people with disability, their family and carers.
The NDIS is being trialled in several areas across Australia, including the ACT. The ACT will be the first jurisdiction in Australia to have all eligible residents included in the Scheme by July 2016. Because this is a big change, rollout in the ACT is staged. High school students were scheduled to transition to the NDIS between January and March 2015, followed by primary school students between April and September 2015. Please note students may still apply to participate in the Scheme after their scheduled phasing period.
