Emmaus Christian School was established in 1997 and has since sustained a focus on building strong community through engaging partnerships between home and school.  By providing a Christian education, the school enters into partnerships with parents who desire their children to be equipped with a biblical world view – a set of presuppositions that views the world through Biblical truths. (Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:5). Being a gospel-shaped community, Christian education at Emmaus is shown through the delivery of a Christ-centered curriculum and a teaching and learning program delivered by staff who submits all of life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Emmaus is a Pre-school to Year 10 School and a member of CEN (Christian Education National www.cen.edu.au). Located in the established, leafy, northern suburb of Dickson ACT, Emmaus provides high quality education and is committed to providing a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, physical and academic nurturing to all its students.

We endeavour to see our students as individuals with gifts and talents to be developed and nurtured, and we understand that students in a single grade or class may have a widely varying range of abilities. Consequently, our classroom teachers and learning support staff work hard to differentiate learning in ways that will enable all of our students to participate, learn and grow.

To achieve the best outcomes in our delivery of teaching and learning program, we have structured the school according to chronological age grouping of:

• Preschool (3 year old and 4 year old)
• Primary (Kindy – Year 5)
• Secondary (Year 6-Year 10)
