Parent Engagement and Partnership

An Independent education is most powerful when it is a true partnership. When parents and schools align their values, communication, and goals, children don’t just learn, they flourish.

Modern parenting is a high-stakes balancing act, requiring one to navigate the relentless pressure of the digital environment, while managing the complex emotional and developmental needs of a generation growing up in an increasingly volatile and hyper-connected world.

The Association of Independent Schools of the ACT share the following free resources for parents and carers to support your parenting journey.

Through our licence agreement with OLT, parents and carers of Independent member schools can access free short courses:

  • ADHD for Parents
  • Autism for Parents

TripleP Positive Parenting Program also has a wide range of information, resources and free courses available, especially for parents of children under 12 years.

Kids Help Line:  No problem is too big – see Kid Help Line for a wide range of resources and support for parents.

E-Safety Commission: Have you seen the range of webinars for parents from the e-Safety Commission? Webinars for parents and carers | eSafety Commissioner
