Marist College Canberra is a Year 4 – 12 Catholic learning community for boys. It is founded in the Marist tradition of St Marcellin Champagnat and our core values derive from our understanding of the gospels and Marist characteristics.
We are a school that nurtures and strengthens our students as they are transformed into better and more compassionate people. We invite young people to engage in an education that sets high expectations and uncompromising standards. In the process, we give them a chance to test themselves against the best they think they can be, to grow in the knowledge of the Catholic faith, to develop a loving relationship with Jesus Christ and to build a Christian community.
As a Marist community, we endeavour to encourage and develop the Marist spirit and camaraderie in our boys, as outlined in our Core Values. We often hear ex-students speak of how proud they are ‘to be Marist’ and it is in supporting our ethos that the Marist charisma can become real for our boys.
We have a variety of excellent facilities catering to our students’ educational, spiritual and recreational needs.
While young men and boys can and do excel in many types of educational institutions, schools for boys focus with intention on learning that addresses not only how to excel in academics but also how to grow into a man of integrity and empathy.
