The AISACT Emerging Leaders Program

Edited on November 22, 2018

Since 2016 AISACT has engaged the services of the Australian Institute of Management Education & Training (AIM) to facilitate a leadership program targeted at middle management groups in Member schools.

The program was developed in line with the report, Preparing Future Leaders, released by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL). In the program, emphasis has been placed on the following areas:

  • Enhancing self and other awareness
  • Handling difficult conversations
  • Leading with Emotional Intelligence
  • Impact behaviour cycles
  • Communication styles

The program aligns with contemporary adult learning methodology, consequently blended learning underpinned the delivery approach. Program participants were supported by the use of workshops, eLearning, peer networks and mentoring as required.
