On Saturday, 29 August 2026, we’ll be gathering at the University of Canberra for a day dedicated to evidence-informed education. We’d love for you to join us as we bridge the gap between research and the classroom.
What is researchED? researchED is a teacher-led project aimed at raising research literacy in education. Our goal is to move away from “intuition-led” teaching toward practice informed by the best available evidence, exploring what works in the classroom and why.

researchED Canberra is simply about bringing educators, leaders, and researchers together to look at what the evidence says and how it might work in our local schools.
A Focus on Evidence
We know that navigating educational research can be a lot to manage alongside a full teaching load. These sessions, curated by researchED Australia, are designed to be thoughtful, evidence-aligned, and most importantly useful. Whether you’re in the classroom or leading a school, it’s an opportunity to step back and reflect on the “why” and “how” of our practice.

- Literacy & Numeracy: Looking at the foundations of effective Reading and Writing instruction.
- The Science of Learning: Discussing how cognitive science translates to classroom routines.
- A Kindergarten – Year 12 Focus: Strategies suited for early childhood through to secondary contexts.
- Leadership & Change: Thinking about how to make school-wide change sustainable.
- MTSS & Support: Considerations for tiered intervention and targeted instruction.
